Intel’s corporate giving program matches employee volunteer hours for their favorite nonprofit organizations. For every hour you report of volunteer activity in the community this year, Intel will give $10. Each employee can report up to 1000 hours per year.

Donations are yearly and there are only a few days left to submit requests for 2018.

If you work at Intel, the process to submit the request is surprisingly simple: Step (1): Go to https://intel.benevity.org (2) Click “Track time for volunteering you did on your own” (3) Fill out the 2-step form — and that’s it! Intel matches your time donation with actual dollars.

Hundreds of enterprises including Google, Samsung, Apple, and Microsoft are working with Benevity as well. To find out if your company runs a similar corporate giving program, check with your HR, Community or CSR teams.

Made in JLM is now listed on Benevity.org.

Activity towards the development of the Jerusalem tech community now counts towards matching gifts from hundreds of corporate giving programs worldwide 🎉 — including Intel’s.

If you work at Intel and took an active role in the local tech community this year (or know a friend who did), we hope that you’ll consider joining the important work Made in JLM is doing for the startup and hi-tech community in Jerusalem, and help us make future investments into similar activities.

For more information about how to find Made in JLM on benevity.org, and what to fill out in the forms, check out our step-by-step guide for Intel donors.

Why Made in JLM?

Since its inception in 2012, and with the support of hundreds of partners and volunteers, MadeinJLM.org has grown the ecosystem by creating a supportive community in which over 7000 entrepreneurs and hi-tech employees can create and join the best opportunities in the city. We are dedicated to nurturing the hi-tech ecosystem so that Jerusalem emerges as one of the top technology centers in Israel and globally. In fact, in 2015 Jerusalem was already named by Time Magazine “One of the Top 5 Emerging Tech Hubs” and a “Top 30 Tech City” by Research Company Compass, and there is still much work to be done.

We have big plans for Jerusalem in 2019! With new city assets like the fast train, WeWork, Facebook’s tech hub, and Kaltura moving in, the city’s future is looking brighter than ever. One of our main goals over the next 5 years is to attract large multinationals to the city, support the development of ecosystems for new industries, professions, and demographics, and increase hi-tech employment opportunities in the city— and we need your help to do it!

For a small and efficient operation like ours, $10,000 makes a huge difference and makes you one of Made in JLM’s greatest supporters 👑. We are usually able to match donations 2–3x over, and sometimes leverage them to create sustainable revenue streams. $10k is enough to sponsor a whole new community project for a year, or automate an operation so that it runs without relying on volunteers. As little as two or three $10k donations can help hire part or full-time staff, and provide new services to the community and the leaders who build it. Of course, less than $10k is helpful as well!

Please consider donating to MadeinJLM in the last few days of 2018.

With much gratitude,

Roy Munin.

Special thanks to Dor Levy from Intel for recommending Made in JLM to Benevity, and Netanel Breuer from the community team for letting us know about the program and helping us throughout the process. 🙌

If you don’t work at Intel but care about Made in JLM’s activity, please share this letter with friends at Intel who may have been active this year or would like to volunteer next year and let them know why you think it’s important for our city.

To be involved throughout the year, we invite you to join the Made in JLM group and come meet us at the next Happy Hour JLM.
